What is CLOW - Children's Liturgy of the Word?
CLOW  is a part of the Sunday Mass in which the Liturgy portion is presented by Robyn Yannone and her dedicated group of volunteers in the parish hall for children ages pre-k to G6.

When is CLOW held?
CLOW is scheduled on designated Sundays at the 9AM Mass.  Please see the Religious Education calendar for dates.

Do we go the church or the hall?
Parents and childrens attend the 9AM Mass.  Shortly after the Introduction Rite, Father invites the children to go to the Parish Hall. All children are encouraged to attend.  Volunteers & children then process down the center aisle and down the right side stairwell.  In the hall, children will listen to the readings and gospel, followed by a brief discussion and activity sheet.

How long will the children be downstairs?
Children will attend CLOW for approximately 20 minutes in the Parish Hall before returning just before the celebration of the Eucharist so they may participate in the remainder of the Mass.   The parish ushers will signal the volunteer CLOW leader when it is time to return to the church. Children will be escorted back to the upper church by volunteers and ushers so they may return to their parents pew.

Why do we leave the church and go to the hall?
Children have the opportunity to not only listen, but ask questions during CLOW.  The focus level is very high and often more fully understand the readings, gospel and their meaning.
