Religious Education
Based on two millennia of scripture and tradition, the Catholic faith is more than a feeling in one’s heart. St. Maria Goretti’s religious education program builds on a child’s love of God and cultivates an age-appropriate understanding of our religion. As stated by the Archdiocese of Boston, “genuine religious education informs, forms, and transforms.” The goal of our volunteer catechists is to help each child become literate in the particular language and doctrine of the Catholic faith. We utilize a nationally recognized religious textbook series, enriched with fun and creative activities led by our catechists. While our children are learning prayers, Catholic values, Scripture, and Church history, they also realize a sense of community within our parish.
